Hey Gang!
I’m excited to let y’all know our own Jamie Burak, a.k.a. BHBGroupTrader, will be live every Wednesday after the market for a webcast we’ll call “Weekly Market Essentials” for now (until you help us think of a better name!). Jamie is a professional money manager and trader of The Burak Hannon Brojde Group, trading everything from stocks, futures, commodities, bonds, and more. Like in his blog/newsletter on our POSSE Trader Journal, Jamie will cover major market news and events that we’re all hearing and reading about but may have a hard time figuring out exactly what that means for the market, economy, and especially where to put our money. As a professional money manager, Jamie has access to a lot more information and resources and will use this webcast as an opportunity to tell us how professionals interpret the news and teach us how to trade along with the smart money.
As courtesy to FINZ.tv members, Jamie’s webcast will be private. However, registration to be a FINZ.tv member is free so just sign up and you’ll be able to accesss the webcast every Wednesday. We’ll email you the web address of the webcast when it’s available, and we’ll twitter it if you follow us at @FINZtv. There’ll be a Q&A session after the webcast and we ask ya to ask your questions via twitter by using @reply to @FINZtv.
On Monday, I’ll have the honor of doing a TraderChat interview with OIC (Options Industry Council) educator and MarketTaker.com founder Dan Passarelli to discuss how both investors and traders can use options to their advantage in simple but effective ways. Please email me at jeffreylin@finz.tv or twitter me @JeffreyLin any questions you may have for Dan and I’ll try to get that on the TraderChat! We’ll probably post this later in the week so watch for it.
Also, next week we’ll have a very special webinar exclusively for FINZ members from one of the best market timers and futures gurus. If you hang around FINZ.tv and the POSSE blog even a little you should be able to guess who it is! But we’ll leave that for next week’s FINZ Memo.
Finally, please welcome our new blogger MDabbles to FINZ.tv’s POSSE Trade Journal! MDabbles has made the amazing accomplishment of transitioning to a full time trader, depending on the success of his trades for his income. His blog will contain his trade journal, thoughts, and statistical research into when the risk-reward is best in order to zero in on the best trade entries and exits. Hope we’ll all learn and exchange ideas and skills with MDabbles as he joins the FINZ Family. If you want to subscribe with RSS or email to MDabbles’ posts or any other POSSE blogger, visit the POSSE’s new subscribe page.
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and are ready to rock and roll the market!
Good luck trading this week!
~Jeffrey Lin

Most Recent Post (May 30th, 2009): Has the Consolidation Ended?
For the past three weeks we have been experiencing a period of broad market consolidation – a time when trading ranges narrow, whipsawing many traders to the sole benefit of their broker. This ‘digestion’ period came after nine straight weeks of gains on the Nasdaq - a logical point at which to pause and view [...]
