No matter what we think is going to happen we have to be able to toss our egos aside and trade the tape. My signals last night changed on the gap down and once we broke the the 30min 50sma along with all the weakness in the financials I shorted the market and stayed short all day. Traders have to be able to adapt and take what the market is giving them. As soon as the market opened I was looking for a good short and I found it in PRU. It gapped down below it’s daily 50sma, which we call a Ice Hole Failure. These patterns are very powerful in bear markets. I closed out the trade shortly before the close and I am flat going into tomorrow. I will post a new pre-market commentary but rest assured I will not be married to it and I will take what the market gives.
