Anger Management

It’s 9:40am as I write this post. While most traders have been glued to their screens for 3-4hours, your boy Alamo is just firing up his screens. True, I can go through more charts in a night than Oprah can devour twinkies at a Coney Island eating contest. I’m not most traders. I rely heavily on my feel, and almost 20 years of trading experience. Let’s also not forget the tens of thousands of poker hands I’ve seen in these last five years of online play. I trade/play poker with a chip on my shoulder. To be perfectly honest, there is a certain anger or arrogance that builds within. Trading is about confidence. My style is dependent upon me NOT being afraid to trade. For me I almost need to turn into the Terrell Owens of trading. I feel the anger building as the market ramped with me watching in cash. I pride myself on catching moves that most traders miss. You’ve been seeing it ever since I started posting back on. If I don’t continue to perform you go elsewhere. I love pressure. Let me tell you something about me. I was unable to walk for three years. Also lost the ability to use my arms for added shits and giggles. I couldn’t use a computer for three years, unless it was with a stick in my mouth to type. As a former star student athlete in Ice Hockey at NYU’s prestigious Stern Undergrad of Biz, this was my worst nightmare. Well, after being told I wouldn’t recover…I am. I am Alamo, I am a machine. My anger is growing…probably a good sign for my readers.
Google (GOOG) is on the agenda, and offers a buffer for the bulls today me thinks. I would be a buyer of weakness which seems to already have been bought as I type. I would be sifting through stocks that didn’t break out yesterday. Today traders will feel impervious to risk, and they will search for stuff to move higher. The recent small cap momentum is still in most traders’ blood, and I think we will see some activity in these names. I will bring some to you if I can, but some names don’t have the necessary volume. Overall, the market remains out of synch with my style. Overnight moves, early a.m. moves, low volume moves. I remain steadfast in preparing myself for the return of the Boyz of the Hamptons. Erstwhile (yes, erstwhile..lol), I will continue to write my daily snippets here on the Posse, and my larger broad based themes at www.traderalamo.tv.
